UNCOMMON GROUND
A six week transformational medicine journey
Uncommon Ground is a guided six-week transformational journey designed to support meaningful change through preparation, ceremony, community, and integration.
While a four-day immersive psil0cybin experience forms the heart of the journey, the process begins weeks before we gather and continues long after the retreat ends.
We believe the depth of any medicine experience is shaped not only by the medicine itself, but by the intention, preparation, support, and integration that surround it.
Through carefully curated practices rooted in somatics, shadow work, meditation, creativity, energy hygiene, grounding, and self-inquiry; participants begin building a deeper relationship with themselves and with the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and possibilities that are ready to emerge.
Along the way, we explore topics such as psilocybin and neuroplasticity, the role of the nervous system in healing and change, and the importance of embodied integration. We speak honestly about the realities of this work—that psychedelic experiences are not quick fixes, but invitations into a deeper relationship with ourselves.
Sometimes the medicine reveals exactly what we hoped to see. Sometimes it offers something entirely unexpected.
Sometimes the greatest transformation arrives through subtle shifts that unfold over weeks and months rather than dramatic moments during ceremony.
At Uncommon Ground, we make space for the full spectrum of experience. For grief, joy, resistance, insight, disappointment, and surprise. For the unraveling of old stories and the emergence of new possibilities.
All of it belongs.
The Immersion
At the heart of the journey is a 4 day immersion and psil0cybin ceremony, carefully prepared and intentionally woven into the arc of our six weeks together.
The ceremony is held by four experienced facilitators and guides: Erica Sainsbury, Robin Corlux, Kyle Cruickshank, and Olivia Cruickshank.
Together they bring decades of combined experience in ceremony, somatic healing, facilitation, coaching, bodywork, yoga, meditation, breathwork, and support through transformational experiences.
The ceremony is accompanied by the extraordinary live medicine music of Laure-Emmanuelle, whose voice and presence create a deeply moving landscape of healing through song and sound.
Participants are nourished throughout the 4 days by lovingly prepared meals from Hannya, whose food is itself an expression of care, grounding, and connection.
We recognize that every person arrives with their own history, protective patterns, gifts, fears, and longings. Our intention is not to overwhelm the system, but to create conditions where meaningful openings can unfold in ways that feel grounded, supported, and integratable.
Preparation + Integration
Preparation and integration are essential aspects of this work. In the weeks leading up to the retreat, participants are welcomed into a preparation process that includes group calls, somatic practices, educational resources, and reflective prompts designed to help cultivate clarity, readiness, intention, and nervous system support before arriving.
Following the retreat, we continue to support the integration process through a group integration call, live online breathwork, and additional practices intended to help participants gently weave insights and experiences into daily life.
Each participant also receives access to discounted rates for private one-on-one integration sessions with one of the facilitators.
Together, these elements create a strong foundation for the ceremony experience and help support meaningful change long after the weekend has ended.
We deeply believe that the real work is not only what happens during the ceremony, but how we listen, respond, and care for ourselves afterward.
Our Approach
Our work is deeply informed by somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, relational safety, body-based healing, and an openness to the multidimensional nature of human experience.
We are creating spaces where people can soften into deeper honesty, connection, curiosity, self-awareness, and embodied transformation.
Throughout the immersion, we move between stillness and expression, depth and play, solitude and connection. Days are supported by nourishing meals, time in nature, group process, movement practices, reflection, breathwork, and spaciousness to simply be.
We recognize that psychedelic experiences can be beautiful, expansive, challenging, emotional, illuminating, and deeply vulnerable. Because of this, we place enormous importance on the container surrounding the medicine itself. Uncommon Ground is not approached as entertainment or escapism, but as an opportunity to enter into deeper relationship with oneself, the body, the psyche, and the unseen layers that shape our human experience.
A Return to What Matters
There is something profoundly healing about gathering together in an intentional group — slowing down enough to feel, to listen, to remember, and to reconnect.
Uncommon Ground is an invitation to meet yourself — and one another — outside of performance, outside of certainty, and outside of the well-worn path. A journey into the mystery of what becomes possible when healing, nature, ceremony, and human connection come together in service of transformation.
A space where truth becomes more multidimensional. Where connection deepens. And where something honest and alive has room to emerge.
We have space for 10 courageous souls who are ready to dive in.
The journey begins September 10th. The immersion is October 1st – 4th.
